I switched my all seasons over to A8 “flat fives” and I have to say, I was really looking forward to seeing these on, but so far they’re “Meh”

In other news; Im working on acquiring a set of Fikse FM5s, if it works out those will be going on in june....probably

They look good; very understated and similar to the Volvo Pegasus wheels.

Could have picked worse, Audi had some pretty bleh wheel designs around y2k. The B6 S4 wheels come to mind; those ones look like VW Jetta hubcaps. In the words of Sir Charles, “Just Turrible.”

I just put the “Rotor” wheels from the S5 on my B8 Avant. I dig them, but the spokes come painted grey... and I have a grey car. Might be too much grey for me.

At some point in their life, the paint was ruined (just a bit) so I want to have them redone, but maybe in all silver this time.

Lol I bought the FM5s last night. Its a good thing. you’ll like them when they’re on.

Yea there are 10mm spacers on now, but these are et48 from the factory so they’re still behind the fender about 3-5mm. The previous wheels were et45, which brought them to the fender with the spacers.

HAHA I have a set of S8 wheels(below) that look like the B5 Avus but in an 18. (so like the B6 wheels but pre face lift) I actually like those a lot too, but they arent special, just 18s. So very much OEM Plus.

OEM is the way to go, I just was never a big fan of the plain look especially when you compare them to what the other German marques where putting on their performance variants.
